              Before starting the setup process, make sure you have these on hand:

              For merchants:

              • A valid government-issued ID of the legal representative
              • Your bank account details (routing and account number)
              • Tax information (EIN or registration number from Hacienda)

               

              5. Step-by-step: How to activate Stripe Connect Express

              Merchants

              1. Check your email for Uva’s invitation and click “Get Started.”
              2. Enter your email and create a Stripe password (or log in if you already have a Stripe account).
              3. Fill in the legal details for your business and representative.
              4. Add your bank account for payouts.
              5. Review everything and submit.


                That’s it! You’ll now have full access to the Express Dashboard.

              Is it safe to enter my bank information?
              Yes. Stripe encrypts all your data and follows PCI DSS standards. Neither Uva nor third parties can view your full account number.

              How long does the first payment take?
              Once your account and identity are verified, payouts usually appear in 2–3 business days. Instant Payouts show up in less than 30 minutes.

              I got a message saying “Additional information required.” What should I do?
              Click the link from Stripe in your email to complete the missing details or upload a clearer document.

              Can I change my bank account?
              Yes. Just go to the Express Dashboard > Payments > Bank Account > 'Edit'. Changes will apply to the next payment cycle.

              Does Stripe charge any fees?
              Nope. Uva covers all Stripe processing fees—you don’t pay anything extra to receive your money.

              I already have a Stripe account. Do I need to create a new one?
              Not at all. Stripe will link your existing account and only ask for any missing info.

              Can I use the same bank account for multiple store locations?
              Yes, but each location must complete its own onboarding. You can then use the same bank account for each one.

              Can I pause my payouts?
              Sure! Just reach out to Uva support and we’ll temporarily disable your payouts. You can reactivate them anytime.
